Metropolises are new territories, their development and identity are the subject of a definition in which art plays a strong marker role. The metropolis of Bordeaux and the metropolitan area of ​​León are among these emerging territories. They are characterized by their own geographies and cultures, new experiences and common issues around which the cooperation agreement makes it possible to exchange views. The principle of emulation in art is at the heart of the dynamic of creation, and the work of artists as scout accompanies the laying of the first milestones on these urban playgrounds, as such their contribution is often beneficial. .

It is in this spirit that Zébra3 builds an artistic exchange between our two metropolises and in this context that we welcome Sebastián Beltrán , artist designer, in production residency within our production workshop, in order to realize an installation that will be presented in the showcase of the Crystal Palace Broadcast Program . Originally from the state of Baja California (Baja California) in Mexico, Sebastián Beltrán currently lives and works in León, Mexico.
After studying painting and sculpture in Baja California, Aguascalientes (Guanajuato) and Carrara (Italy), he began his career as an artist and then turned in 2006 towards design by creating his workshop: Natural Urbano . This porosity between art and design in his practice allows him to come and go constantly between these two disciplinary fields.
