Sebastián Beltrán is from the state of Baja California (Baja California) in Mexico. He currently lives and works in León, partner of Bordeaux Métropole since 2011.
After studying painting and sculpture, in 2006 he turned to design by creating his workshop: Natural Urbano . This porosity between art and design in his practice allows him to come and go constantly between these two disciplinary fields.
His artistic productions refer to the industry through the use of materials such as steel, cement, resin ... They summon our daily lives, in particular by modifying the shapes of objects to divert their functionality, often with a ironic intention, which thus incites our imagination to invent new uses for them. These reversals use simple mechanisms that make his works hypnotic and reiterative.

For the window of the Crystal Palace, Sebastián Beltrán offers an installation inspired by "La Rumorosa", an unreal landscape of ocher stones snaked by a winding road with incredible panoramas, located in his native region, Baja California. "La Rumorosa" is also the name of the wind which blows in these immense rock formations, evocative of myths and legends.
